Does Avent BPA Free bottles leak?
Do you encountered any leaking problems on the Avent BPA free bottles? My sister been using it for her baby for months. No problems so far. I believed those who encountered the leaking problem is due to not closing it properly. You should also use the bottles with Avent silicone teats as leaking may occured if used with other brand’s teats.

I am using Avent BPA Free 9oz bottles for my baby feeding. However I always get frustrated with the bottle leaking. Most of the time when I feed my baby more than 1oz milk leaked out and wasted. Please advise. I bought the bottles from LittleWhiz.com 2 months ago and I am using the Avent teats as well for my bottles. I tried as advised to ensure the teat are wet and not to screw the sealing disc too tight, yet still the problem occurs. Been thinking of changing.

In the past, I’ve heard of the leaking problems of avent BPA free bottles/teats. I’ve also heard that the leaking problem had been solved. I’m not too sure abt this, but if there is leaking problems to the bottles, you can bring it back to the shop and asked for service/replacement. The retailer should pass the bottle back to the Avent distributor “Kinderdijk” for service/replacement.

There are actually 3 valves at the teat. Try align at least 2 of the valves under the fins of the white plastic ring cap.

I’ve xperience the same prob. i bought 4 bottles n only 1 in gud condition.. another 3, what a waste of money… i spent almost $200 n only 1 bottle can be used. i’ve tried all the tricks but still its spilled on my baby shirt. even i bought the new teats!! still not solve the problems… So, i simply put it aside n buy another normal brand that claimed bpa-free.. hopefully, its really bpa free

I ever noticed that people mentioning the leaking problem few years ago, i didn’t take it too seriously until recently. I have been using Avent (bought in Singapore)for more than a year (4 bottles), and find no leaking problem at all. Recently i bought 260ml bottle at Jusco, JB. That is a start for me to face this problem. I tried, really tried to close it PROPERLY! But ended up with my son wet or my bag wet! That is really annoying especially when you are running for time.

I have the same problem with the teat. I have been a loyal Avent customer for 6 years since my elder son was born.
When I started using the Avent bottle 6 years ago, the quality of Avent products were excellent, no leaking problem at all.
I realised the problem came after it change to Philip Avent. The teat was not only leaking, the teat also turn to “blur” within few weeks of using.
I have been trying to change the bottles few times, hoping the quality will improve but facing the same problem again and again until I’m so fed up and give up. Now I’m buying Evenflo BPA free bottles at a much more affortable price and no more wetting my sons’ shirt.
